SPRING 2024

  • Adult Rock Band

    Wednesdays // May 8th - July 10th 6:30-7:30 // $600 for all 10 meetings

    facilitated by Sean Spada

If you are a classically trained musician or a closet rock musician wanting to branch out in a safe and supportive space, this is the group for you!

  • Adult Happy Hour Singalong

The Chain, Fleetwood Mac Sunday // April 28th // 5-7:30pm $90 OR pay what you can (min $25)!

Join us this month, as we celebrate the joy of singing a sad song with strangers in harmony! This happy hour singalong will be loosely titled One Note Stand and will feature an acapella arrangement of Fleetwood Mac’s devastating hit, The Chain. This experience includes vocal warmups, harmony exercises, and working on singing the entire piece together, just because it’s fun!

Upon enrollment, each reveler will receive both the sheet music and recordings of each vocal part, so they can choose their best fit and rehearse ahead of time! Singers of a levels, experiences, and vocal ranges are welcome!

BYOB Our friends next door at Tia Pol provide a great choice of beverages, which you are welcome to bring to our space!

This spring’s session is appropriate for early beginners, with some experience, and complete beginners, with no experience.

(this group has a min. enrollment of 3 and max. enrollment of 8)

  • Women's Vocal Workshop

    TBD!!

Join us for this very special workshop, designed by our female teachers, using input from our own lives and those of our adult woman students.

It has become a common experience for us to have a woman come in to sign up for lessons on an instrument, only to tell us that what she really wants to do is sing, but is too scared. Whether it’s a fear of being heard, judged, or simply a fear of actually making sound, we have had these conversations often enough that we decided to do something about it.

This workshop will be a multi-faceted approach to finding the female voice. Each week will include breathing exercises, stretches, and vocal warmups. The primary topic will alternate each week between songwriting (taught by Cecilia Foecke) and experiencing the voice/body connection (taught by Amber Mitchell). All classes will conclude with group singing of participant chosen songs.

In addition to a weekly group class, this workshop also includes one 30 minute private lesson per student per week, with either Amber or Cecilia.

While we are sure all participants will become better singers during the course of the semester, this is not the goal. Our goal is to help each other become more curious and confident with our voices.

*this class is for any woman interested in exploring her voice. There is no musical background necessary.
