Let’s keep the music going!

Join us for our weeklong camp sessions, where students ages 5+ can explore various musical themes and work with their fellow musicians on a weeklong creative project, to be presented on Friday!

Each one week camp session will run 9:30-3:30, Monday - Friday, with a camp wide performance, showcasing each cohort’s project at 3:00 on Friday! There is an unstructured optional extension from 3:30-5:30 Mon-Thursday.

Camps will run weekly beginning June 29th, with the final week of camp being the week of August 10th.

Upon enrollment campers will choose their cohort for the week, with options including Soundsystem: Summer (our rock bands!), Broadway Lab: Cabaret (create a Broadway themed cabaret show), Good 4U Glee Club (sing songs in harmony!), and Off the Cuff (our improvisation and song-writing ensemble). In addition to time with their cohort, there are daily elective periods, crafts, karaoke, and private lessons available.

  • This rock band intensive is for musicians of all levels who want to plug in, turn up, and create music with their bandmates. Bands will be formed based on age. Together, you'll learn to jam, master cover songs, write original material, and discover your unique band identity. From learning classic riffs to writing your own lyrics, you'll experience what it's really like to be in a band - including the magic that happens when musicians lock in together. Each Soundsystem will create their own logos and merch, design the stage lighting for their set, and create their own unique look and vibe for performance.

  • In this one creative intensive our Broadway Lab will be working on their singing, acting, and creativity skills to create a cabaret style medley of their favorite broadway hits to perform at our end of camp performance.  There will be opportunities for solos and duets for our more confident singers and the option to sing in ensembles for those that prefer the support of their friends. Expect to participate in costume design and prop creation, as well as chances to learn about stage makeup. Be ready to explore storytelling as a group, with movement and endless creativity included!

  • Our Good 4U: Glee Club is for anyone who loves to sing and wants to be part of something special. We will be learning basic and advanced warm up techniques, work intensively on hearing and singing harmonies, exercising our active listening skills, and, in general, reveling in the joy that is singing with others. Expect to sing songs by your favorite pop divas, do a deep dive into some KPop Demon Hunter Repertoire, and explore some rock ballads.

    No experience necessary.

  • Ready to throw out the sheet music and see what happens?  Off the Cuff: Jam Sessions is our improvisation cohort for young musicians who want to learn the art of making it up as they go- in the best possible way.

Through jazz standards, blues jams, good ol’ jam band vibes, spontaneous writing sessions, and creative musical experimentation, campers will discover that some of the coolest music happens when you trust your ears, take a risk, and play off each other’s ideas. We’ll explore call-and-response, learn to “yes, and” our bandmates’ musical choices, and build the confidence to jump in without knowing exactly where we’ll land.

No improvisation experience required, but we do recommend at least a year on your instrument. Vocalists are welcome, as well.

  • Examples of possible electives include:

Mic Drop: The Art of Karaoke

    Ukulele Chorus

    Drumcircle

    Music Production Basics

    Songwriting

    Music Theory Basics
